Equally there are many good sources of information elsewhere too. The BMFA have a lot of useful information, most importantyly the Handbook and the Achievement schemes.

Other resocures like modelflying.co.uk have a lot of information and excellent forums where you can ask questions.

Equally, you could subscribe to a magazine like RCM&E or RC Model World. Browsing such a magazine can be an eye opener for a novice.
